The Event: Part Two - Scroll Down!

The winds have been blowing fiercely across Serora for a while, building in their blind intensity. Other parts of Hireath are noticing wind gusts that behave abnormally, regarding the skies as fickle,
even dangerous. Flights have been prepared for more rigorously across the world, apprehension budding at the prospect of breaching the skies.

Suddenly, the rage of the sky stopped.

Across the world, the storms and anomalies ended abruptly. The winds were becalmed with a tranquility that is eerie in light of their natural playfulness and their prior temper. Worried devotees reached out to the air goddess, beseeching her, only to receive silence in return. A few try their blessings hesitantly, finding it takes more strength to call up the gifts Alya has bestowed.

In Serora, the new sultan has made it clear they have no intentions of forsaking the Talorian treaty. They worry that abandoning another interherd agreement will leave Serora vulnerable and shunned on the global stage. A devoted group of Serorans, wanting the best for their country and the herdmates they've known and fostered, find they can stay silent no longer in Alya's void. They are raising their voices to a sky that does not respond against this decision. Who will you choose to support?

Quick Notes

Bulletpeach by Wooded-Wolf What happened to Osprey? Osprey left Abram a note that he would not be returning and followed Alya's call into the desert. An election was then held and a new sultan was elected!
Bulletpeach by Wooded-Wolf Who's the new Sultan? Baram got elected and has assumed the role. You can find their profile here!
Bulletpeach by Wooded-Wolf Can I participate in both threads? Not with the same character, sorry! However, you are not required to attend the thread you agree with (if you're a heckler) and even if you start off agreeing, you can absolutely leave with a changed mind and decide to count yourself as a supporter of the other side than you attended!
Bulletpeach by Wooded-Wolf Who's the Trio and why are they upset? The Trio is Nafisa, Nicodemus and Pagan. They believe that the Talorian treaty is a dilution of Seroran values and that getting involved in another war will cripple them before Aodh even shows up. They also believe that Alya's silence has to do with the Serorans' actions lately. Nicodemus also actually got kicked out of the original meeting about the treaty for voicing his dissenting opinions. He's been telling just about everybody about that too!
Bulletpeach by Wooded-Wolf So what's wrong with the treaty? The Talorians have been very cagey with details about what is actually going on in their homeland. The only information they will provide is vague tales about "terrorists" occupying their cities and driving them out.
Bulletpeach by Wooded-Wolf So, wait, what about the Talorian sacrifices? Serorans wouldn't have any clue the pegasus sacrifices happened! It's a closely guarded secret of Talori and the refugees absolutely aren't saying anything about it. Honestly, it's a shock to most Serorans to find out Talori isn't entirely populated by Rogues!

:new::new::new:

Part Two

The two groups gathered. Baram called for opinions while they patiently listened to each speaker's fears and hopes. The Trio called for voices to be raised and not silenced in Serora any longer. All gathered in each group voiced a deep seated love for Serora and while their conclusions and opinions were varied, it would have been clear to any eavesdropper that the wellspring of emotion was the same for all. At the end, Baram voiced their own opinion, stating their disagreement with the treaty but their commitment to uphold Serora's word on the world stage. Leaving their own assembly, they arrived at the Trio's and requested an audience.

The four talked throughout the night, sharing strategies and thoughts of ways to mitigate the inevitable death toll of the coming war. While compromise was reached, finally, it is up to each's heart how easy that agreement sits. The one thing the mullahs, the peacemaker and the sultan all were in perfect concert about were the divisions in their herd and their devotion to Alya. They promised to gather the factions to pray for her return.

As with all large gatherings of prayer in Serora, it quickly became a celebration of life. A festival of music and color burgeoned in Osulas as Serorans seek to call the Wind-mother back to her children.

Bulletpeach by Wooded-Wolf Note: This is for Serora members, Ambassadors to the Serora herd, and Vagabonds living in Sedo only! Talorians currently in Sedo can also participate.

Is there an actual outline of the treaty? Like what’s in it and what they’ve agreed to?
